Claire is an Audiologist that specialises in Surfer's and Swimmer's Ear. I love the water and ears!! Regular exposure to wind and water temperatures of 19 degrees C and below can lead to the irreversible and progressive condition known as Surfer's Ear. Once advanced, invasive surgery to remove the bony growths may be necessary. Swimmer's Ear is an infection of the outer ear canal. Don't be fooled by the names though, they can both occur in all water users. Both conditions can be prevented by keeping your ears dry and cosy in the water.
